Hey guys welcome back! So I guess it is time ( long overdue time ) to update the about section of this blog / website – and update you all on what I have been working on.

Let us begin with a question: What is a Brandie Peters?

Well, professionally ( meaning, how I make my money and support my self ) I am a social media marketing consultant – currently I am focusing all of my energy on Instagram and establishing my self as an Instagram expert, after growing my own Instagram following to 13K in under a year.

Lifewise, I would call my self an entrepreneur, I have been working on building online micro-businesses selling my self as a “service” online for over 6 years now. My Facebook Ads business www.growthhackads.com is my most successful venture. I am now happy to say it is 100% self sustaining so I don’t need to babysit it and can focus my energy on other projects that better serve my interests. For those who are curious, Growthhackads.com is a Facebook Ads “on demand” service that connects small/ mid-sized and new business owners with expert Facebook Ad help. My other current entrepreneurial venture is this Brandie Growth Hacker Peters personal brand – where I suppose I am some sort of “public figure” / “influencer” ( *gag* ) and what I do primarily; is help awesome people learn how to market and sell their services using content and social media; primarily micro-funnels utilizing Instagram…stay with me:

To put it briefly: I am a consultant / coach – who works with a select group of elite super-humans, who want to use Instagram as a vessel to obtain power and take over the world. ( Too much of an over sell.. maybe… maybe… ) [ click here to apply to work with me ]

And if those last two paragraphs did not bore you to death or scare you away- other components of the “Brandie Peters” concoction would be; a mother *( two kids 6 years old and 9 month ages subject to change on short notice ), 1 part wifey badger, also fluffy-husky owner ( Yes, yes she does shed a lot, thanks for asking ) (( Why do entrepreneurs always mention their pets in their bios, I guess it makes us more #relatable #keepingitreal whatever; )) one part; proud owner of the standard rights-of-passage 20-something regretful tatoos ie: an ex-boyfriends initials ( yah she did ), 1 – full back piece, and a Pokemon ball tattoo on my left foot. AND yes; I am also into the important millennial cliche’ things personal development, achieving that coveted “freedom lifestyle”, passive income and new-agey spiritualism.

I am also particularly passionate about random internet fodder and memes’ – lots of memes. Memes for days please. Did you say you’ve gots memes for me?

My mental health superpowers include: overthinking everything ( so yah, I did overthink the content of this bio and re-compose it multiple times questioning whether or not my too muchness, is really much too muchness- how’d I do? ) – and managing my crippling social anxiety just enough; to moonlight as an attention whore on the internet. I’d tell you more about my many plights; but I am saving those for my inevitable TedX talk.

Two Of My Favourite Instagram Tools For Growth And Profile Management

2 FREE INSTAGRAM TOOLS FOR YOU TO USE – THAT WILL CHANGE THE GAME!

Hey everyone! First question how is everyone doing this January? Me, I have had a hella time getting back into the swing of things AND I am still not really sure what day of the week it is!

However, this week my oldest son went back to school >> finally, yas<< and I was able to do some catch-up work as well as re-open my IG services for new trials. If you want someone to help you with your Instagram ( go from dabbling to strategizing ) and are serious about growing your Instagram Presence and getting leads from your efforts on Instagram I might be the gal to help you with that! You can find out by applying for one of my IG takeovers. >> here’s the form <<

The trial is 24 hours – and then we book a call to discuss the results and talk about how I can help you. I only have a few spots to fill so you don’t want to miss out.
_APPLY NOW_

Okay, so now that shameless self-promotion is out of the way, let’s talk about what YOU can do to increase your results with Instagram this year. Today I thought I would share with you my 2 favorite tools for Instagram and tell you WHY I love them.

First of all, let’s talk about Hypeauditor!

This is a tool that was designed to help business owners identify quality influencers to work with. Hypeauditor is great for a variety of reasons though. 1st because it gives you additional insights on your Instagram audience ( who is following you, where they live, what other content they are interested in ) and because it also tells you quite bluntly, how much of your audience is actually “authentic” active accounts. The 2nd reason why hype-auditor is fantastic is that it also tells you how you are doing with Instagram, in comparison to other accounts in the same niche’ as you. It gives you an engagement rating – and shows you what % of audience your posts are reaching. I LOVE this report and I share it with all of my IG management clients!

Hypeaudits do normally cost $100 for 50 credits, but you can run one on your own account FREE if you use my link here.
>> Free Hype-Audit <<

Another tool that I use with my Instagram clients and that I personally swear by is called Tailwind. Now I know there has been a lot of viral buzz about Tailwind for Pinterest, but personally – I love Tailwind for Instagram more! Tailwind for Instagram is THE BEST post scheduling tool that I have found. It also allows you to see additional analytic stats on your Instagram account. In addition to being a great pre-scheduler and post planner ( yes it auto posts to your feed and your stories ) Tailwind also has a feature called “Tailwind Tribes” that allows you increase the traffic to your Instagram profile, through collaborative sharing. Think of it as a level up on IG pods or engagement swarms.

If you’d like to Tailwind for Instagram out for a spin, NORMALLY it will cost you $15 per month but you can try it for 1 month FREE on me with this link.
>> 1 month of Tailwind!! <<

Want more? If you are looking for even more helpful IG growth tools I also have a full toolbox you can get for free. This includes both Tailwind and Hypeauditor as well as some other gizmos and gadgets that I love.

Okay, so that’s what I have for you today, i’d love to know what you thought about these two awesome tools! You can always start a convo with me by clicking here or drop me a message on Instagram.

10 Things That Will Fix Your Instagram

(  10  ) Things You Should Be Doing More of on Instagram If You Want Your Results From Your Efforts Marketing on Instagram

Hey guys, the title here is pretty self-explanatory, and we have a lot to go through so let’s just get started!

1.) Comments

If you don’t ever scroll your own timeline and leave comments on your follower’s posts then today is the day to start. Leaving a comment on someone else’s feed ( especially if they don’t get a lot of comments ) will get them to check out your profile. Like “hey who left that comment” and therefore lead to more visits to your profile! Plus if you comment on there’s they’ll probably comment on yours, because Instagram is really socially reciprocal like that.

2.) Post Stories

A lot of us “older” Instagram users have a hard time utilizing stories because, it is a new feature and not quite “our jam” / but ignoring the stories function completely will cost you reach SO, no matter how you feel about it, it is a good idea to start posting a story at least once in a while.

3.) Look at your profile Insights

The insights on your Instagram business profile are going to give you the reality check that you need to improve your Instagram. Pay close attention to the actual reach of your profile; reach & impressions: “who out of your following” are actually seeing what you post and the demographic details; age, sex, location, etc. so you know what is going on with your account.

4.) Look at your post Insights

Instagram also gives you insights on each of your posts. Pay attention to how much reach certain posts gets ( expect less than 10% of your audience to see what you post on average ) and what actions were taken from the post: profile views, shares, and bookmarks.

5.) Share More

Instagram is a social network, and therefore the sharing and networking of content is a huge part of what the platform is about. Save your self some grief, and participate as an active member on the platform by sharing posts from other people/profiles. Your account does not have to be all about you. Hint: Click that little paper airplane looking button to instantly share posts from other profiles to your stories. |

6.) Send Messages

Let’s not forget about the messaging features within Instagram! You can make some meaningful connections by sending messages to people who regularly engage in your posts. ( Should you auto-DM? I say HARD NO. People hate auto DMs but like genuine and authentic messages! so try that instead: quality interactions over quantity interactions )

7.) Optimize your profile for lead capture

WHY HAVE YOU NOT DONE THIS YET?  On Instagram your “link in profile” should be where you stick you lead capture ( example: email list opt-in for freebie ) so that you can take your most curious people from follower to self-qualified lead ( they are on your now list for re-marketing ) – Frankly if you don’t have any lead capture in place, you will never know if your efforts on Instagram are actually doing anything so it will be hard to judge if you are being successful or not.

8.) Create Highlights that are “high value”

Using the stories feature and then the highlight story feature you can create intricate stories that cover all the important details about you and your business. That way when someone visits the main profile view they can see everything they need to know presented to you in a story. ( Having a hard time wrapping your head around this? Think of your stories as tabs on your website: about me, free resources, my services, blog, etc. )

9.) Surf Relevant Hashtags

If you aren’t actually clicking the hashtags you are using NOW IS THE TIME TO START.  Click ‘em, scroll ‘em, and repeat. The goal is to create a visible presence on the hashtags that relate your profile niche.

10.) NICHE so hard…

If you have not yet given your Instagram profile “a life purpose” today is the day to declare it and stick with it; for a measurable period of time. Decide what the topic of your Instagram is and post on the topic for a period of time. A lot of people lose “followers” because they don’t post on topic or post what the follower believed they signed up for. Instagram thrives on niche’s, so ditch the “public figure” “personal Instagram” strategy and choose a topic that relates to what you do/ sell. Do not stray from that niche. If you have other topics or areas you want to cover, create another Instagram profile for that topic.

11.) Bonus: Budget for Ads

Surprise surprise, Instagram ( a.k.a Facebook ) has an algorithm, and that algorithm can be very tight for people who have swapped over to business profiles. However, if you want to put some rocket fuel into your gram game, consider getting serious about building custom audiences and using ads to reach them. Instagram ads ( when used strategically ) can really work magic and help you achieve your marketing goals.

Hope this helps you win at Instagram in 2019!!!

Is Instagram Marketing Success on Your To-Do List for 2019?

Overall, for me, 2018 was a good year.

Surprise, surprise! Here we are at the end of 2018 and here I am making some bold declarations about what I want to do in 2019.

As one does, ( am I right? ) – I am using these last few remaining days of the year to set some goals and look back at the year now past and analyze every tiny micro detail.

This year I achieved my goals of hitting 10K on my personal Instagram account and launching a passive income product. I did not, however, achieve any of my new year’s resolutions such as; lose the baby weight ( i hadn’t even had the baby yet mind you when I made that resolution ) and three times my previous year’s revenue. ( I always get a bit crazy when it comes to goals that relate to my finances … )

I suppose if we are really going to celebrate big wins; I did “somehow” manage to retire my husband with the help of income support ( yay equal rights ) as he was able to take paternity leave after the baby was born, making me ( holy shit ) the official main breadwinner of the family.

How’s that going you may be wondering?

Well – to be frank, hubby badger may possibly be returning to work in the new year. No, not because my income from doing social media marketing cannot support us both – but more so because, we have some new goals; pay off all our debt before we both turn 30 ( we’re 29 )  and renovate/upgrade our desperately outdated home – and if that are going to actually crush these goals it will require us to both really work hard in 2019.

So that’s me, now let’s talk about you!

Chances are – if you are still sticking with me on this list it is probably because you are hoping I am going to continue to drop gems of wisdom regarding Instagram Marketing and Instagram Lead Capture Techniques. ( again, am I right? ) I don’t want to disappoint, so I thought I’d let you know right now that I have already pre-composed ( yes, they are all pre-written look at me all organized and on the ball ) I have 20 weeks of emails all on the topics of Instagram Marketing, Lead Capture with Instagram, the Tailwind App, and Instagram Ads.

Starting with these 5 pieces of general advice, that if you follow them, YOU WILL be set up for success with Instagram marketing in 2019.

#1: Post consistently and on topic

Niches thrive on Instagram so do your self a favor and stay on topic. Content can generally be “broad” but it should also be consistently the same so your new audience members know exactly what they are signing up for when they click “follow”.

#2: Engage on more content then you post

Taking the time to engage off of your own profile and on other people’s posts ( choose who you engage with wisely ) WILL increase your rate of growth and drive traffic to your profile, more than just posting alone. Since organic discoverability is so rare on Instagram, your best bang for time invested is to invest time more so in the networking aspect ( showing up elsewhere ) than on creating content for your own profile. If you have to decide; make your strategy to post less and engage more. Choose to engage on content; hashtags, profiles, and location tags where people who will also like your content hang out.

#3 Remember: Instagram is a multi-media platform

Although some old school grammars still can get away with posting only pictures with captions, Instagram is now a multi-media platform! You can post pictures, but you can also create story narratives ( save in highlights to make permanent ) – live videos / Instagram live – short videos – slideshows a.k.a. multi-image posts – and of course long-form video IGTV.

#4 Pay Attention to Your Insights

2019 should be the year where you finally stop looking at vanity metrics and START looking at your insights. >>> Actions Taken <<< such as profile views and link clicks are far more interesting as they show you who of your post audience, are looking to go the next step. Remember: the key is to optimize your Instagram profile for lead capture so that you can turn people from followers into self-qualified leads.

#5 Get A Strategy

This may seem like some pretty general / broad advice for Instagram Marketing but seriously, if you have been winging it thus far, 2019 should be the year that you save your self from that misery and get a strategy. Decide definitively what Instagram is supposed to be doing for your business and what success on Instagram looks like to you. Know, what you are going to posting about and what the topic/theme of your Instagram account is going to be. GET THAT LEAD CAPTURE in place so that you can meter whether or not your success on the platform is actually “successful” and stop dabbling. Seriously, it is time.

Alright – so the next time we talk it will be 2019 and you’ll be all pumped and ready to make some changes! I hope these 5 Instagram Success Tips have inspired you ( at the very least ) and got you thinking about what you could be doing to improve your Instagram going into the new year. See you there.

The Confessions Of An Insufferable Try-Hard

Alright – so before I begin this blog there is something that you need to know about me.

I am a freaking “try hard” – like – not in the “look at her making a humble but strong effort towards self betterment” good way either.

I am a try hard, in the worst sense meaning I have all of the dislike-able traits of someone who is constantly “trying, very hard”: I am a know-it-all, workaholic, perfectionist, who despite knowing better IS concerned what others think of me.

AND – I am also super stubborn; dead-set on hitting THE STAR ( not landing amongst them ) … almost to the point where my determination to be a smashing success ( at something ) is incredibly annoying to other people.

– it was around this time last year, that these qualities about my self finally became apparent to me and,  how else should I say this?, I finally understood why almost nobody found me like-able.

However, despite knowing this about my self ( for over a year ) it has taken me up until JUST NOW – to come out of my “try-hard” closet and publicly admit this about myself without shame.

You see; for the most part  – I like who I am ( despite being occasionally insufferable ) – and I believe that if I keep on; keeping on in the direction I am heading, I will achieve my goals in spite of the fact that even then ( when I do ) I still won’t be particularly like-able.

In fact the only thing about this realization; that has made me change anything about my self is the perpendicular realization that I should really just finally OWN it.

Because, I feel, like so many of us do – I have been holding a lot of my me-ness in / withholding my “authenticity” *barf, gag* in order to deliver a more palatable version of “Brandie Peters” that people can actually stomach.

The problem with this is, I hate this, it is not fun, it isn’t working, and the type of people that it attracts into my life ( to put it plainly ) are not compatible with “me”.
By withholding my true self from the world ( and watering down my everything ) I have made myself; dull and un-shiny – and if at all possible, even MORE UN-Likeable. ( If that is even possible )

And honestly, for a good part of the last year I have been trying to concoct some sort of master plan where I get to hop out from behind a curtain; pull off this “water-down me-ness” disguise and shout SURPRISE! Fooled yah all! This is who I REALLY am – and do it in a way that doesn’t cost me anything.

But here’s the thing;

That won’t be possible.
It is NOT possible to reveal your true try-hard self to the general public and have it just randomly accepted by everyone; because ( here’s a secret ) none of us – who appear in our unfiltered version WILL ever – be fully acceptable to the general public.

Unfiltered and unmasked people are absolutely terrifying creatures.

So rather I have prepared my self for the opposite; knowing that in my case – a full unveiling of my me-ness / true self to the world will in fact cost me things like; instagram followers, email subscribers, fake Facebook friends, and the burdening weight that comes with trying to be a more palatable version of your self just so that you can hide amongst the general population.

It’ll unfortunately cost me all of these things – but hopefully also earn me the freedom to do more of the things that I want – and less of the things I hate; and move me ( and my human body vessel ) in the right direction towards whatever it is that the universe has in store for us.

Thank You.

Have a business? Here is why you SHOULD be excited about Instagram ( 5 Reasons )

Have a business? Here is why you SHOULD be excited about Instagram ( 5 Reasons )

#1 Instagram is increasing in popularity while Facebook is declining. Although the platform is over a decade old, it is still signing up new users each day!!📸

#2 Instagram is popular cross demographics; people of all ages, sex, location, and interests use Instagram. Because it is a very niche’ interest focused platform, there is huge potential for ANYONE – to find “their people” on the platform. 👍

#3 Unlike Facebook ( a lot of people are frustrated by its closed nature ) Instagram is more open for discoverability (( granted that you have a public profile ) the algorithm also isn’t as tight; meaning that if you put in a solid amount of effort you can still enjoy organic growth.👌

#4 Instagram is multi-media and designed for storytelling! ( The term micro-blog ) comes to mind. There are so many ways you can share information and connect with people on Instagram – beyond “just pretty pictures” 🙌

#5 Instagram Ads – Instagram Ads are a business owners dream because they allow you to reach people on Instagram who are going to love your content, and convert them into leads ( if you know what you are doing ). Ps. Instagram Ads live in your Facebook Ads manager and there are tons of options for building audiences and creating ads.

So, riddle me this WHY are you not using Instagram to market your business?

Is it because you aren’t sure how or have been “trying” but not having any success?

Maybe you might like to try my Instagram Marketing Success Challenge 5 Days of Instagram Profile Makeover Tips to help you overhaul you Instagram Marketing Strategy and improve your Instagram game.

The Best Beginner Blogging Course!

Get A Jumpstart On Your Blog With This Awesome Blogging Course!

I have made multiple attempts at “becoming a blogger” and frankly, none of yet to be substantially successful. However, they have been awesome vessels for me to express myself, share my life, harvest new opportunities and grow as a person.
I’ve long since accepted that blogging will never be my “career” but, it will always be a small part of what I do online because I enjoy it so much.

While in the process of relaunching THIS BLOG I recently came across this recommendation for this “Becoming a Blogger” Facebook Group – and I decided to pop in and see what all the fuss was about, and immediately found myself “at home”.
Now, trust me – I have been a Facebook Group user for years now. In fact, without Facebook Groups I wouldn’t have my career OR my business… ( maybe more about that some other time. )

This group is unique because it is full of bloggers at varying experience levels all “tribing” together to learn and build passive income blogs.
It is also hosted by Cate Rosales ( a kindred spirit and savvy entrepreneurial blogger ) who puts a lot of time and energy into making the group a great place to be!

After I expressed that I was a bit “rusty” as a blogger and was diving back in, Cate kindly offered me the opportunity to review her “Becoming A Blogger” Teachable course.
I was really impressed by how much excellent and informative material Cate included in her course ( for an astonishing price of only $97 USD ) – her material is short, sweet, and too the point – with clear instructions, no jargon; precisely what I look for in an online course.

It isn’t just your usual “here’s how you get a WordPress blog” here is how you change your theme kinda stuff, Cate includes IMPORTANT >> money-making << details like:

– What is affiliate marketing
– Top affiliate networks to join ( full list )
– Amazon affiliate marketing
– What are sponsored posts?
– Getting your first sponsored post!
– Guest posting 101
– List of websites that pay for guest blogs!

Like this is the good stuff!
And the stuff that YOU NEED to know if you want to make money blogging full-time, part-time, or ANY TIME.
It is all the stuff I wish I had known when I was a thirteen-year-old spending 300 hours making the perfect CSS custom WordPress theme for shits and giggles.

So here’s the thing.

If you’ve stopped here… on my blog… because you want to blog yourself – and though like hey, “she seems to know a bit about blogging”… thanks…I don’t, consider me clueless…OBVIOUSLY! *wink*
However, I do have one solid recommendation for you – try Cate’s blogging course on Teachable!
It’s in-depth. Thoroughly done. Affordable. And it will save you years of stress trying to figure this stuff all out for yourself.
If you are serious about diving into blogging, I’d say it is well worth the investment!
And trust me, had I know half the things that Cate covers in this course when I first started blogging ( at age 13…), I would be WAY further ahead than I am now…

Cheers!

Grow Your Instagram Following With Milotree

Grow Your Instagram Following With Milotree

Want More Instagram Followers? Have A Website? Install THIS Plugin!

Ah, Milotree where have you been all of my life? I have been looking for a WordPress plugin that does EXACTLY what Milotree does, which is prompt visitors to THIS website to follow me on Instagram after they have have been on the website for a certain amount of time.

Although I am not a huge fan of pop-ups, I do believe that it is important to collect visitors on your website to your most active social media so that you can speak to them again. This of course, dramatically increases the likelihood that they will return to your blog and read more content in the future. Plus, this gives me/you the opportunity to connect with the people who visit your website or blog.

Milotree was a WordPress Plugin that came to my attention while I was doing research about affiliate links that are popular for bloggers. Milotree also pays a commission back to those who use it on their website and recommend it to their audience. This is simply a win-win. I’ll gladly pay to use this app and tell people about how it can help them grow their Instagram in exchange for a little bit of a commission… because like duh… that’s a no-brainer.

How does Milotree work?

It is actually pretty simple; Milotree generates the code needed to produce a pop up that is connected to your social media profile; Instagram, Pinterest, Facebook, Twitter or Youtube. When a visitor is on your website, it pops up after they scroll and prompts them to follow you, subscribe to you or like your page.

I installed Milotree using the WordPress plugin provided to me when I signed up. However, if you don’t use WordPress, you can get a piece of shortcode to put into your website code that will allow the popup to appear OR you can follow specific instructions; again provided by Milotree for installing the app into your website if you use Squarespace, Shopify, Weebly etc.

It takes less than 5 minutes to get it up and running, and there is no maintenance required.

This type of pop up is THE BEST way to grow your social media platforms – when you have a blog or website that people visit every day. Most of the time, social media links are subtle and easy to ignore. This pop up prompts the visitor to follow you, and if they are enjoying the content on your site ( or ) if they are a fan of your business they will likely do so no problem.

So far, I am very happy with the results I am garnering from Milotree – as it has already captured me 70 new followers and I only installed it today. If your goal is to increase your follower count on any of your social media or get more subscribers on Youtube, I highly recommend that you check this application out!

Maven: Pinterest That Pays?

Can You Make Money Using A New “Pinterest-Like” Social Media Platform?

Continuing on in my adventures finding realistic passive income sources, I stumbled across a relatively new social media platform that apparently “pays you” to participate on called Maven. Is Maven for real? I have been hearing about these mythical social media platforms that pay you to be a member of them for years, however, when you click to see what they are all about, they turn out to be total scams/click-bait. This is why I approached this new platform “Maven” with guarded skepticism. How is this going to work?

Much to my surprise, it appears that Maven is actually a legitimate social media platform that pays!

Here is one of my Maven boards:

>> JOIN MAVEN free GET STARTED!<<

Crazy right! Here is how it works. You use Maven just like you would Pinterest. Pinning products onto custom boards that you like online; fashion, home decor, beauty products. Then, you share your Maven board with friends via your “other” social media platforms: Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest, and Twitter – if anyone buys any of the items that you have “pinned” you get paid a commission for recommending the product on your board.

You may be wondering what the catch is because it sounds “almost” too good to be true right?

Well, from where I am standing the only real catch is that the items that you pin to your board must be from Maven’s list of products in order for you to get paid. Yeah… So really what you are doing is a form of affiliate link marketing just delivered in the more unique way. The pin-board gimmick being a way to convince people into thinking that the board, when shared, was built to show off your product and lifestyle preferences – NOT to be presented as a bunch of affiliate links. Clever?… In a way. Worthwhile? Possibly! I would recommend using Maven to make a little bit of extra money if;

– You have a large following that would easily convert; meaning you are influential in the “lifestyle” niches; fashion, beauty, decor, and can drive enough traffic to your boards – people who may potentially buy the items you are recommending.

-You enjoy building boards and collections. Obviously, the key here is going to be building these Maven “pinboards” to showcase the unique fashionable items and complimentary products. If this is something that you genuinely enjoy doing in your spare time, then why not? Regular old Pinterest pays nothing; Maven offers some return. With that logic, it is a no-brainer.

– You have low to moderate expectations. Like all make money online opportunities, I always suggest that you approach it with skepticism and low expectations. I cannot see Maven replacing anyone’s day job BUT I can see it having some payback if you dedicate yourself to the process; building those pinboards and sharing them. Lifestyle bloggers should certainly check this one out, as they have the best chance of success with it.

Will I be using Maven to make money?

I am going to withhold my final verdict on Maven; the Pinterest-like social media platform that pays you to use it UNTIL I have had some time to try it out. I am enticed enough to give it a fair trial and build a few boards of my own, share them, and see what happens.

Browsing the items that are listed to be pinned, I can see quite a few high-quality items that I actually would potentially want to buy. This is important to mention; the stuff on this website that you can choose from isn’t crap – there are NICE clothes, make-up and home decor items that I feel anyone would like. Plus you don’t actually have to buy these items yourself to recommend them, so you can make a commission for suggesting high ticket products that you don’t even own. Seriously, worth daydreaming about some cool outfits and stylish interior design for the sake of building some boards!

Worst case scenario you spend some time window shopping – and playing around.
Best case scenario, your Maven board converts and you earn enough commission to actually buy some of the items you pinned on it!

Swagbucks Is it A Good Way To Make Some Extra Cash?

Swagbucks Is it A Good Way To Make Some Extra Cash?

Could Swagbucks Be A Good Source of Passive Income?

Ever since I started my career online in 2012, I have always been on the lookout for easy passive income opportunities. My current online business is helping with Facebook Ads, and although it is pretty steady work; it is quite time-consuming, finding new clients – working with clients- monitoring all of the ads. I mean I don’t mind the work but it isn’t exactly the #freedomlifestyle that one would hope for. One of my current goals is to spend less time at my desk and more time enjoying my children, so achieving a good amount of passive income has become a new focus of mine. Although, I am always wary of too good to be true “make money online opportunities” I am not against experimenting with different things and seeing how they work. I have had enough experience in the online space to be able to quickly weed out if something is going to be a “time-suck” or a money-maker…

Which leads me to the topic of today’s blog and that is Swagbucks.

I had seen Swagbucks mentioned on a few other people’s blogs about affiliate marketing and passive income. At first, I thought Swagbucks was similar to E-bates ( A website that I am quite a fan of BTW) which is why it first grabbed my attention. However, once I signed up for it and started playing around I realized that Swagbucks wasn’t like e-bates at all, but instead a gamified beginner level affiliate marketing, paid surveys, and some other random actions that you can do online and get paid for. Sorry if that seems like a weird description, Swagbucks really hard to describe because there is such a medley of “stuff” involved in the site.

At first glance, it looks like the payouts for performing these actions are really high, and you may feel enticed to dive right in. But watch out because what the payouts actually are “Swagbucks” – kinda like arcade tokens that you cash out and redeem for Amazon and Paypal cards. This is important to know because when it says you get 50 Swagbucks for a survey you are actually only getting a couple of cents.

According to the redeemable gift cards – $1 USD is equal to 90 Swagbucks… so you need 450 Swagbucks to get one $5 gift card. That’s a lot of work for very little payout.. or is it?

You see one feature of Swagbucks is that you can install the browser extension that will automatically determine if you are doing “Swagbucks” earning actions – and you get Swagbucks automatically just for having the browser extension installed. Okay, so I can handle that – even if it doesn’t payout high I am not against earning a little here and there just for my normal online behaviors.

Like with E-bates and Honey Extension you can also get $5 dollars just for referring your friends to Swagbucks. Like I explained in my blog posts about those two beginner level money makers – you could potentially plug your Swagbucks referral link into your Instagram and start earning money by just telling people about the program.

Other ways to make “Swagbucks” ( redeemable for Amazon and Paypal gift-cards ) on the Swagbucks website:

– Shop online cash back ( get cash back from Swagbucks when you make purchases on affiliated websites )
– Answer surveys and earn Swagbucks good “time killer” probably not gonna see a huge return…
– Watch specific viral videos, and get Swagbucks just for watching… interesting, but again not a great time investment ( but definitely do if you are watching videos anyways )
– Sign up for product trials and coupons, you don’t have to buy – you get Swagbucks just for signing up for the offer
– Use Swagbucks ( powered by Yahoo ) as your default web browser… ( interesting, if you don’t mind switching your default browser… )
– Play Swagbucks online games and earn Swagbucks … [ This is sort of hilarious, Are there child labor laws in place preventing a person from having their kids play online games so I can make the Swag-dollas??
Asking for a friend …]

– Use the Swagbucks app to do all of the above – YES! I was hoping that they’d have an app.

Okay so if we really want to talk about Swagbucks as a passive income opportunity then I would give it a thumbs down. Why, because REALLY when it comes down to it, earning with Swagbucks isn’t passive at all – it requires “action” and keeping up with the program. If you wish to make money Swagbucks you need to be really active on Swagbucks, performing the various actions that earn you those fun tokens that you can then trade in for real money ( but in the form of gift cards only ). Personally, I can’t imagine anyone doing this enough to make it a full-time gig but I do see it as a fun boredom killing activity that is “in the end” worthwhile.

These bucks could potentially add up – particularly the $5 refer a friend deal, so I would not dismiss Swagbucks completely.
That said, if you are looking for a way to make money online and do less – then this probably isn’t the route to go.
What I like about Swagbucks ( to wrap on a positive ) is that the process of earning is “gamified” and I am a sucker for any program or application that turns otherwise boring and repetitive tasks into a game. Rather than just being like other cash back and paid survey websites that are boring as all hell, Swagbucks has turned these processes into “fun games” with daily goals and quotas. I think that this is a nice touch and absolutely novel – for this reason alone, Swagbucks is worth looking into.

Getting Started With Tailwind

Using Tailwind to Grow Your Instagram Account – Getting Started

Today I am going to show you how to get started using Tailwind for Instagram Growth! I have been experimenting with Tailwind as a tool for content networking, and audience growth. Normally, I am very careful about what type of “apps” and tools that I endorse because I do not want to advocate for something that isn’t ultimately useful. A lot of the people who follow me and read my blogs are busy mom entrepreneurs like myself – and therefore the last thing I would want to do is send anyone down a rabbit hole that just drains their time and they don’t get anything back from it.

However, this is one of the main reasons why Tailwind is so promising –
Because it is a solution for anyone who is spending A LOT of time trying to get traction with their content ( Instagram, Blogs, Videos etc. ) and have not yet had any luck.
Simply by being active on Tailwind, you can 10X – seriously – 10Xs the amount of traffic that your content gets!
It is an app that focuses on mutual sharing within niche’ networks.
So the traffic that you get ( if you use this app correctly ) will be people who are legitimately interested in what the content is.
Additionally, if you know anything about SEO, Tailwind helps with “link-structuring” and “backlinking” that will boost your content’s visibility long-term.
Again, this makes it a very promising app – for anyone who is in the content networking space – I recommend using it.
However, to keep things simple for today, I am going to focus on Tailwind for Instagram.

Here is what you will need:

– Access to a desktop computer or laptop ( this cannot be done on mobile )
– Pinterest account
– Instagram account

Here is how you get started!

Okay so naturally the first step is for you to actually SIGN UP for Tailwind. Tailwind offers a Free Trial so this isn’t going to cost you anything to do.
Initially, you want to actually sign up for Tailwind for Pinterest. Pinterest is how we are going to drive traffic to your Instagram account! Yes, Tailwind does have tools for Instagram specifically ( scheduling and posting ) but you need to use Pinterest to get the traffic boost.

So hook yourself up to Tailwind, for Pinterest – not Tailwind for Instagram for THIS tutorial.

Get the Tailwind Chrome Extension!

Optional: Once you are signed up with Tailwind you are going to want to grab the Tailwind extension for your Chrome web browser!
This will make it MUCH EASIER to share your Instagram posts to Pinterest and use Tailwind.

Create a board on Pinterest!

Login into Pinterest and create a new board specifically for your “Instagram Posts”
This is where you will “pin” the Instagram posts that you want to share virally and drive traffic with Tailwind!

Visit Your Instagram Profile ( In browser not mobile )

Then hop over to Instagram.com and load up your personal Instagram profile view.
Click the “tailwind” icon in the corner ( if you installed the extension ) and live links from your Instagram – to post on Tailwind will load up.

Select the images from Instagram that you want to schedule to be pinned.
Choose the “pinboard” you wish to post them to.
Select “schedule all” or individually “add to queue”

Now hop back over to Tailwind and go to your publisher.

You will see your Instagram posts have now been scheduled to be pinned.
Now, this is something that you want to do with all of your appropriate Instagram posts on a regular basis.
Having your Instagram posts pinned to Instagram – and share-able will allow you to get more traffic to your Instagram content over time.
Making this a regular habit will immediately make your Instagram posts “discoverable” on Pinterest.
This is easy to do, saves time and beneficial for both your Instagram and Pinterest growth.

The benefits of pinning your Instagram posts

You might be wondering, what is the point? Here are the benefits.

– Traffic potential; by pinning your best Instagram posts you are making your Instagram content discoverable on Pinterest!
– Network; now your Instagram posts are also pin-able and can be shared and re-pinned within an online network for again, increased visibility and traffic
– Visibility; this makes your Instagram account visible outside of Instagram and now on Pinterest
– Tribes; if you choose to participate in Tailwind’s Tribes or join a Tailwind Tribe for growth this makes your Instagram a post for tribe sharing

Long-term what you should see is more organic traffic to your existing ( pre-existing ) Instagram posts – driving traffic to your profile daily and allowing people with an interest in your content to find you and follow you.

It doesn’t take any more than a few minutes to add your Instagram to Pinterest using Tailwind and you can do this “repeatedly” ( post cycling ) so that your Instagram always has a fresh presence on Pinterest!

Will you be trying this out?
If yes let me know! And if you want to join the Tailwind Tribe you are more than welcome!
